What to check on a property licence
Holder and business
Match the individual, agency or corporation to the submitted details and the issuing register. A similar name alone does not establish a match.
Licence or registration type
Distinguish an agent licence, salesperson or representative record, certificate, and corporation record. Check the class and conditions where the register publishes them.
Issuing state and scope
Use the jurisdiction that issued the record and confirm it covers the role you are checking. State registers use different categories and fields.
Status and check evidence
Review the available status, source and dates together. If a result is unclear or coverage is limited, confirm the current position with the issuing regulator and retain your check evidence.
For repeat onboarding or marketplace checks, review the real-estate verification API and integration documentation. Property checks use the separate real_estate sector. Available fields and coverage depend on the source.
